Detectives discovered the body Tuesday of a missing 19-year-old who was dumped in Lake Lewisville, days after the teenager disappeared “under suspicious circumstances.”

The Colony police had asked for the public’s help Monday to find Jonathan Houston, saying they thought he was in danger.

Detectives found Houston’s body about 11:30 a.m. the next day in a wooded area near the lake, in the 3800 block of Overlook Court in The Colony, police said Wednesday.

Police arrested 24-year-old Elijha Norman in connection with Houston’s death. He faces charges of capital murder and tampering with evidence, police said.

Police said Norman robbed and shot Houston repeatedly after they met Sunday and then discarded the teenager’s body in the lake.

Police didn’t explain how they determined Norman was a suspect in Houston’s death or whether the two men had known each other.

Police said Norman was being held in The Colony’s jail. It’s unclear whether he has an attorney.
