Rockwall police arrest 3 men in unrelated child pornography cases

The arrests were made with the help of state and federal law enforcement.

Rockwall police have arrested three men and charged each with possession of child pornography in unrelated investigations this week.

Police and Texas Rangers executed search warrants Tuesday and Wednesday on separate locations in Rockwall before arresting Geoffrey Ehlert, 42, Donald Nega, 47, and Daylon Tippens, 19, according to a police news release.

All three were in the Rockwall County Jail.

On Tuesday, officers searched a home in the 3000 block of Preston Court after receiving information from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security that someone there had trafficked in pictures depicting child sexual abuse, the release says. Officials said they investigated for months before identifying Ehlert as the person who downloaded the images. He had “gone to great lengths to conceal his identity,” they said. His bail was set at $60,750.
