Man fatally stabbed neighbor at Richardson apartment complex, police say

Phillip Calderon, 54, faces a murder charge in the slaying of James Wolf, 31.

A 54-year-old man fatally stabbed his 31-year-old neighbor during a fight in the parking lot of their Richardson apartment complex over the weekend, police say.

Phillip Calderon was arrested Saturday on a murder charge in the slaying of James Wolf.

Officers who were called about 7:20 p.m. Saturday to the Belle Grove at Custer Apartments in the 800 block of Custer Road, near West Arapaho Road, found Wolf wounded but conscious. He was taken to a hospital, where he died.

Calderon was taken into custody at the scene, police said. He was being held at the Dallas County jail Monday, with bail set at $250,000, and he did not have an attorney listed in court records.

The two men were neighbors at the complex, according to police. Authorities have not released details about what led to the fight.
