Police seek pair after slaying of 60-year-old woman at Garland home

Authorities said a man and woman were seen in the alley behind the home on Briar Way.

Garland police are looking for a man and a woman who were seen entering a home where officers found a 60-year-old woman fatally shot Tuesday evening.

Police said warrants have been issued for the arrests of 20-year-old Kvaughandre Presley of Dallas and 21-year-old Gabriela Liliana Torres of Garland.

Officers were called about 7 p.m. to a home in the 700 block of Briar Way, near Northwest Highway and La Prada Drive, where a shooting was reported.

Officers found Patricia Eifert had been shot multiple times. The Jasper resident was pronounced dead at the home.

Police said Eifert was the mother of one of the people who recently purchased the home and was helping them move in. They believe she was alone at the time of the shooting.

Authorities said surveillance footage showed a black four-door sedan in the alley behind the home. The video shows a man and woman get out of the car and go into the home’s garage.

Police believe that the same vehicle was involved in a hit-and-run several blocks away on Barcelona Drive and that the man brandished a gun during the incident.
