Man found fatally shot in South Dallas home

An incident report indicates police believe the man was killed Sunday.

Update: Revised at 5:32 p.m. Nov. 9 to include the victim's identity.

A man was found fatally shot in a South Dallas home Oct. 26.

Police were called just before 5 p.m. to a home in the 3800 block of Cauthorn Drive, near Elsie Faye Heggins Street and Scyene Road, where they found the victim dead. Police identified him as James Harper, 39.

An incident report indicates that police believe the man was killed two days before he was found.

Authorities have not identified any suspects in connection with the shooting, and no other details have been released.
