15-year-old accused of killing mother at west Oak Cliff home, Dallas police say

Police said the teen took his mother’s car and dropped a toddler off before going to a friend’s house.

A 15-year-old boy is accused of killing his mother Friday, Dallas police said.

Officers were called about 4:30 p.m. to a home on McLean Avenue in west Oak Cliff, where a 2-year-old girl had been dropped off at her great-grandparents’ home. The child’s great-grandparents did not know who dropped her off and said the girl was supposed to be with her grandmother.

Police went to the grandmother’s home, several miles away in the 4700 block of Lynnacre Drive, where they found 47-year-old Aime Salinas Alvarado dead from a single gunshot wound.
