Man killed in Fort Worth hit-and-run, driver at large, police say

The man was crossing an intersection when a car failed to yield and hit him Friday night.

A man was killed in a hit-and-run in Fort Worth on Friday night, police say.

About 9:50 p.m., officers were dispatched to the intersection of Vaughn Boulevard and Avenue H, where they found a man who had been hit by a vehicle. The Tarrant County medical examiner’s office identified him as 74-year-old Juan Garcia.

According to police, the man was crossing the intersection when a car traveling north failed to yield and hit him.

The driver fled the scene and remained at large Saturday, police said.
