Police investigating death of man found in northwest Dallas creek as a homicide

Officers responded to the 2500 block of Walnut Hill Lane on Wednesday afternoon.

Dallas police are investigating the death of a man found in a northwest Dallas creek earlier this week as a homicide.

Officers were called about 2:40 p.m. Wednesday to the 2500 block of Walnut Hill Lane, near Interstate 35E, where officers found a man’s body in a creek, police said.

The Dallas County medical examiner’s office identified the man as 39-year-old Rolando Mosqueda. An online obituary says he was from Carrollton.

Authorities confirmed Saturday evening the death is being investigated as a homicide.
