Nine people were killed, including the shooter.

Authorities said seven people were pronounced dead at the outlet mall, including the gunman. Nine victims were taken to hospitals, and two of them later died.

At least three of the seven surviving patients taken to local hospitals were in critical condition Sunday, according to a Medical City Healthcare statement.

The three patients listed in critical condition were being treated at Medical City McKinney. A fourth patient also being treated at the hospital was listed in “fair condition.” Two others patients were listed in fair condition with one being treated at Medical City Plano and the other at Medical City Children’s Hospital.

It wasn’t immediately clear what hospital the final patient was being treated at and what their condition was as of Sunday afternoon.

Allen police said an officer who was nearby on an unrelated call and heard the gunfire “engaged the suspect and neutralized the threat” and then called for emergency responders.

It was unclear how long the suspected gunman had been staying at the hotel.

Dozens of law enforcement vehicles from several North Texas agencies were seen parked near the mall, including Allen, Frisco, McKinney and Wylie police and the Collin County constable.
