A 26-year-old man was found fatally shot Wednesday morning in east Oak Cliff.
Officers responded about 6:15 a.m. to a report of a shooting in the 800 block of East 12th Street, near Interstate 35 and the Dallas Zoo and found the victim lying on the ground with a gunshot wound, police said.
The man, identified by police as Datwon Giddings, died at the scene.
No arrest has been announced in the case, and additional details surrounding the shooting were not immediately released.
The investigation is ongoing and documented under case No. 059961-2024.
