Dallas County sheriff’s office seeks help finding asphalt roller, thieves who stole it

Authorities say the equipment was taken from the 4200 block of Jefferson Boulevard.

Authorities are asking for the public’s help to find a stolen asphalt roller and identify those behind the theft, the Dallas County sheriff’s office said Friday.

The equipment was taken from the 4200 block of Jefferson Boulevard, near Sunnyside Street, sometime during the three-day stretch of May 25-27.

The sheriff’s office described those involved as three men in a white truck with a broken right taillight. The truck was pulling a trailer that also had its right taillight out, and another light-colored vehicle also was involved.

Authorities said the roller is orange with lettering on the side that reads “HAMM HD14 R7B DISTR. 4 #40763.”

Anyone with information about the case, including who the men are and where the asphalt roller may be, is asked to call Sgt. Jones with the North Texas Auto Theft Task Force at 214-653-3430.
