According to an arrest-warrant affidavit, Azle police first spoke with Treibly’s roommate and their landlord on June 2. Her roommate and the landlord told police Treibly had last been heard from on May 27, and the roommate told police she saw Treibly with Breshers, the affidavit said. Officers also seized DVR tapes from a security camera at the residence, the affidavit said.

Police then interviewed Breshers, who told police he spent time alone with Treibly at her residence on May 26 and May 27, had intercourse with her and did drugs with her, the affidavit said.

On June 12, Treibly’s body was found by her landlord concealed in the rear end of the property, the affidavit said. Treibly’s body was found wrapped in a pink sheet and with electrical cords wrapped around her neck and body, the affidavit said. A Tarrant County medical examiner told police Treibly had fractured ribs, a fractured jaw and signs of trauma around her neck, the affidavit said.

The affidavit said on June 13, investigators were able to extract the data from the DVR. The footage showed a man matching Breshers’ description pushing a shopping cart from Treibly’s residence toward the area of the property where her body was found, the affidavit said. In the car was a bundle of sheets that were similar to the sheets her body was found in, the affidavit said.

After being arrested and read his Miranda rights, Breshers told police he struck Treibly in the head, after which he said she fell, became unresponsive and had no pulse, the affidavit said. Breshers told police he wrapped her body in sheets and transported her body to the backyard using the shopping cart, and hid her body at the back part of the property under a large object, the affidavit said. When asked about the electrical cords, Breshers said he didn’t remember doing anything with cords.
