Man killed in east Oak Cliff; arrest warrant issued for suspect, Dallas police say

Officers responded to a shooting call in the 2100 block of 52nd Street on July 4.

A man was found dead Thursday evening in east Oak Cliff, and Dallas police say they are looking to arrest a suspect in connection with the shooting.

Just before 10 p.m. Thursday, officers responded to a shooting call at a home in the 2100 block of 52nd Street, near South Lancaster Road. The officers found 46-year-old Hector Alvarez Rosales with a gunshot wound.

Police identified a suspect in the shooting as 26-year-old Angel Alejandro and said a murder arrest warrant was issued for him.

According to police, Alejandro and Rosales knew each other. Police did not provide any additional information about the shooting or say what evidence led to Alejandro being identified as a suspect.
