Owner of security firm once employed by North Texas ISD accused of child sexual assault

Lone Star Protection & Security will no longer work at Northwest ISD schools, the district said.

The owner of a security company employed by a North Texas school district has been accused of sexually assaulting a child, police say.

Kirk Stanley Grable, 54, was booked July 16 in Parker County jail and faces charges of prohibited sexual conduct and sexually assaulting a child, according to booking records. Grable posted $500,000 in bond the next day and was released.

Grable is the owner of Weatherford-based Lone Star Protection & Security LLC, which worked with Northwest ISD. The district, serving portions of Denton, Wise and Tarrant counties, said in a statement to The Dallas Morning News that Grable is not believed to have ever visited one of its campuses.

The victim told law enforcement of the assaults in May, according to a Willow Park police arrest-warrant affidavit. The assaults allegedly occurred at Grable’s home in Willow Park. The victim, a family member who was a minor at the time of the alleged assaults, told police that the assaults increased with frequency after starting in February 2022.

A recorded phone call from the victim to Grable corroborated the victim’s claims for police, according to the affidavit.

Northwest ISD said in a statement that Grable never worked at any district school, and the district has no records that he ever visited a district school or interacted with a Northwest ISD student. The district will no longer use the security firm’s services, according to the statement.

Lone Star was hired by the district in January, and the company had guards at Prairie View, Sendera Ranch, Haslet, Peterson and Hughes elementary schools, according to KDFW-TV (Channel 4).

“The protection of our students is our top priority, and we take any allegations of danger to children seriously,” the statement said.

Last year, Gov. Greg Abbott signed into law a new measure requiring armed personnel on every public school campus.
