North Texas teacher arrested for alleged relationship with underage student, police say

Tip spurred investigation, Keller police say.

A middle school teacher with Carroll ISD is facing charges after she was accused of having an improper relationship with a former student, police said.

Angela Barnes, 45, was arrested Monday by Keller police following an investigation that began in late September after officers received a tip about the Carroll Middle School teacher, police said in a social media post.

Detectives discovered that the relationship with the underage boy took place from June to July of this year before coming to an end, investigators said.

Based on the information we have received, no incidents occurred on CISD campuses.
