Police identify shooting victim in northwest Dallas; no arrest announced

The shooting occurred Monday afternoon.

Dallas police released the identity of a man killed in a northwest Dallas shooting Monday.

Officers responded about 4:10 p.m. Monday to a shooting call in the 3200 block of Lombardy Lane, near Porter Avenue, and found a male victim. He was taken to a hospital, where he died, police said in a Tuesday news release.

The victim was identified as 28-year-old Billy Ray Turner, Jr., police said Wednesday.

This investigation is ongoing. No arrest has been announced.
