The dashboard is updated daily, according to the school district. The numbers reflect lab-confirmed cases of the virus reported to the district by students and staff, including those who are learning or working exclusively online. It includes graphs of cases over the last two weeks and weekly totals of new cases.

As of Oct. 15, Frisco ISD had 54 active cases among students in school, 25 among virtual learners and 27 among staff for a total of 106.

At a board meeting Oct. 13, the district reported that since July 20, about 985 students and staff members have completed a 14-day quarantine after having been in close contact on a school campus with someone who tested positive for COVID-19.

On the dashboard, each case is associated with a student or staffer’s home campus or assigned building — even if the individual has not been on any school property, although “some staff and students may be involved in in-person activities at more than one” location, according to the district.

Students and staff with a confirmed case of COVID-19 are required to quarantine until at least 10 days have passed since their symptom onset and their symptoms have improved, or since their positive test if they have no symptoms. They must also submit a letter of good health from a physician’s office.
