North Texas school districts continue to cancel class for in-person and remote students as power outages persist during this week’s severe winter storm.
The Texas Education Agency told school district leaders Wednesday that they can request waivers for their missed school days if electrical outages and harsh conditions persist. Previously, the districts could cancel class because of bad weather for three days without make-up days required.
The agency encouraged districts to offer remote instruction to students when possible
