Authorities said Friday that an Amber Alert issued for a 4-year-old boy from Denton was canceled after he was found with his mother in Richardson.
Just before 11 p.m. Thursday, Denton police said they believed the boy was with his mother, who was a non-custodial parent. Their last known location at the time the Amber Alert was issued was in the area of the 3800 block of Canyon Verde Lane on June 3.
Denton police in a news release Friday morning said the mother, identified as Selena Grasty, was in custody after authorities located the two in Richardson. A police spokesperson said the duo were found at 12:40 a.m.
Grasty is facing an interference with child custody charge, according to online jail records. It was not clear whether she had an attorney.
