The ticket had all five matching numbers, which is good for the $1 million prize, and the added Megaplier that multiplied the winnings by four.
The Mega Millions jackpot grew to $1.05 billion ahead of Tuesday’s drawing, the fifth-largest prize in game history. The estimated cash value is $527.9 million.
The last time someone won the jackpot, in which a player had all six numbers, was April 18.
