Cooler, breezy day ahead

Your forecast from the NBC 5 Weather Experts

After a rough night of storms across North Texas (including two tornado touchdowns in Hill and Ellis counties) much quieter weather is in store today. It will be noticeably cooler today thanks to a northwest wind. The humidity will also be lower today. The day will begin with considerable cloud cover and then transition to mostly sunny skies by late afternoon.

The rest of the work week will feature mainly sunny skies with lower than normal humidity for early May. High temperatures will be in the 70s through Wednesday, then gradually warming back into the 80s by Thursday. A slight chance of storms returns this weekend.
