Warm, breezy weather in forecast for Good Friday, Easter Sunday in Dallas-Fort Worth

Temperatures in North Texas could rise into the lower 80s.

Easter Sunday should be seasonably warm with a hint of humidity in North Texas, according to weather forecasts.

After a pretty chilly start to spring and a recent cold front, a warming trend was expected to begin Thursday and continue into the weekend.

High temperatures in Dallas-Fort Worth could creep into the lower 80s with lows in the 60s.

Southerly winds are predicted to increase Thursday and into the weekend, making it breezy for anyone enjoying the warmer temperatures outdoors. Friday and Saturday should be the windiest days with speeds growing between 20 and 30 mph.

The next chance for a strong cold front was forecasted for the days after Easter. The front may also bring some rain with it.

Dry, breezy and warm weather is expected for Good Friday through Easter Sunday,” according to KXAS-TV (NBC5)’s forecast for Dallas. “Highs will be in the 70s and 80s with a gusty south wind at times. Thunderstorm chances return to the forecast late Monday into Tuesday morning.”

GOOD FRIDAY: Windy and milder with a mix of clouds and sun. Low: 55. High: 76. Wind: S 15-30 mph with higher gusts.

SATURDAY: Partly sunny, breezy and mild. Low: 60. High: 81. Wind: S 10-20 mph with higher gusts.

EASTER SUNDAY: Mostly cloudy, breezy and warm. Low: 63. High: 82. Wind: S 10-20 mph with higher gusts.
