A strong fall cold front will be moving across North Texas tonight bringing a nice drop in temperatures and a gusty northeast wind. Expect a 40 degree drop in temperatures overnight from the low 90s to the low 50s.
The full effect of the cooler air will be felt by Wednesday morning. In fact, it will be downright chilly with low temperatures dropping into the low 50s and even 40s for some! Wednesday’s high will remain in the 60s during the afternoon, offering a definitive fall feeling.
Thursday will start off quite chilly with lows in the 40s. Parts of Northeast Texas may experience upper 30s! Temperatures will rebound nicely into the 70s. A gradual warming trend can be expected toward the weekend with highs returning to around 80.
With no immediate rain chances on the horizon, the fire danger will be elevated to high this week. The combination of low humidity, dry conditions, and breezy weather could quickly spark grass-fires.
