Wet weather has returned to Dallas-Fort Worth but meteorologists said the rain will pause Thursday night, just in time for trick-or-treating.
We will get a break from the rain for Halloween before the weather pattern becomes much more active,” an advisory from the National Weather Service in Fort Worth said. “Mostly clear skies and comfortable temperatures are expected Halloween evening across North and Central Texas.”
Showers and thunderstorms along a cold front are expected Thursday but will exit to the southeast of Dallas by midday. Temperatures will rise to 75 in Dallas then drop into the 60s, the KXAS-TV (NBC5) forecast shows.
Rain chances return Friday and will linger through the weekend into early next week with most places in North Texas will accumulate between 1 and 3 inches of rain by Tuesday.
The highest chances of rain will probably be on Saturday and Monday, according to the weather service.
