Rain is just about guaranteed today. Patchy drizzle and spotty showers are possible this morning across Dallas-Fort Worth.
Steady rain and occasional thunderstorms are a threat for much of Friday farther west. D-FW, there may see some breaks in the rain around midday, but then a round of heavy thunderstorms is likely by late afternoon and this evening.
Torrential downpours will pose a risk for flooding, so watch for high water on the roads. 1-2″ of rain is possible for D-FW, with heavier amounts (3-5″) possible farther west. The overall severe threat is low, but there could be some small hail.
The rain will gradually clear out overnight, leading to a sunny weekend. Temperatures will be a bit cooler Saturday with a high in the 60s. Sunday will be milder with a high in the 70s. After today, dry weather can be expected through early next week. Wednesday will offer a slight chance of rain.
