Opal Lee spent decades quietly working for the poor and to preserve the history of Fort Worth’s Black community. At 86, she began working for a national recognition of Juneteenth, the historic day Black Texans in Galveston learned they were free from slavery. In 2021, we named Ms. Opal our Texan of the Year. In this podcast, she talks about life and all of its lessons.
