The Struggle to Rebuild in West

In the weeks and months following the deadly West Fertilizer Plant explosion, dozens of families whose homes were destroyed purchased or borrowed travel trailers and set up makeshift homes in a nearby RV park. And as the holidays are upon us, most are still living in the cramped quarters, waiting for their homes in various stages of construction to be completed. Since May, I've been following their progress as they struggle to rebuild, survive, and create a sense of normalcy and community. This Sunday, Dec. 01, The Dallas Morning News is publishing these pictures in our print edition and an online slideshow. Meet the Kolar's, the Seith's, and the Bohannan's and follow their journey as they rebuild their lives.
