Fair Park

Fair Park is the city-owned, 277-acre site of the annual State Fair of Texas. Many of the surviving art deco buildings were constructed for the 1936 Texas Centennial Exposition. Fair Park is a city-designated historical landmark district that was given National Historic Landmark designation in 1986 because it is "one of the largest intact groupings of exposition buildings remaining in the United States."
