2024 UFL draft: Where players from Baylor, Texas Tech and other area colleges landed

Featured among the preparatory steps was its collegiate draft, which took place Wednesday. The Arlington Renegades notably used their 10th-round selection to take Oklahoma wide receiver Drake Stoops, the son of head coach Bob Stoops.

Here’s a look at the players from Baylor, Texas Tech and other area colleges who were selected:

7. San Antonio Brahmas — Baylor defensive tackle Gabe Hall

After five seasons at Baylor, Hall will look to make some noise at the next level. He closed out his collegiate career with 77 total tackles, 12.5 sacks and 16.5 tackles for loss. He is currently under contract with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Round 3

Birmingham Stallions — TCU running back Emani Bailey

Bailey, a Denton Ryan product, had his most productive collegiate season in 2023, rushing for 1,209 yards and eight touchdowns on 223 carries. He notably worked to improve his draft stock at the Big 12′s first pro day. After going undrafted, Bailey signed an undrafted free-agent deal with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Round 6

Memphis Showboats — Oklahoma center Andrew Raym

St. Louis Battlehawks — Oklahoma defensive tackle Isaiah Coe

Two former Sooners highlight the sixth round, starting with a reliable offensive lineman in Raym. In four seasons at Oklahoma, Raym started 29 of 43 career games and earned second-team All-Big 12 honors during the 2023 season. He’s currently under contract with the Carolina Panthers.

Coe, meanwhile, will get his chance to make an impact in the spring after going unselected in the NFL draft. He finished the 2023 season with 26 total tackles and 2.5 tackles for loss.

Round 7

Houston Roughnecks — Oklahoma State linebacker Xavier Benson

Birmingham Stallions — TCU offensive tackle Andrew Coker

Benson was the lone Oklahoma State player selected in the UFL draft. He spent two seasons with the Cowboys, posting 141 tackles with 11.5 tackles for loss and 1.5 sacks. He also deflected three passes and forced two fumbles. Before Oklahoma State, Benson spent time at Texas Tech and Tyler Junior College.

Like Bailey, Coker makes the jump from TCU to the next level. Coker spent five seasons in Fort Worth prior to declaring for the NFL draft this year. He’s currently under contract with the Las Vegas Raiders.

Round 8

Houston Roughnecks — Texas Tech cornerback Rayshad Williams

Williams played his final season with the Red Raiders in 2023, closing out his collegiate career with 94 total tackles, 24 pass deflections and one interception. He’s currently under contract with the Las Vegas Raiders.

Round 9

Houston Roughnecks — Texas Tech cornerback Malik Dunlap

Houston will pair former Red Raider teammates together in its secondary. Dunlap appeared in 32 games over three seasons in Lubbock, posting 76 total tackles, 23 pass deflections and four interceptions.

Round 10

Arlington Renegades — Oklahoma wide receiver Drake Stoops

Earned First Team All-Big 12 honors in 2023 after leading team with 84 receptions for 962 yards and 10 TDs in 13 starts. Currently under contract with the Los Angeles Rams.
