So what was Dixon doing as he waited for an NFL team to sign him?

“I was playing flag football every Tuesday down in Arizona,” Dixon told the Cowboys’ website. “I had to keep my cardio up.”

Dixon wasn’t participating on a team, he was just playing with guys at the park.

“Just me and a couple guys I work out with,” he said. “It was a good time. I didn’t really do too much. I was just the center and sometimes I’d go deep, but I was just chilling for the most part, really just trying to get cardio, honestly.”

Pollard comes in ready: Backup running back Tony Pollard received praise from fans and some in the media for his work in 2020. Some even called for Pollard to take over the starting role from Ezekiel Elliott.

Elliott’s work this offseason gives off the intention he’s not giving up his starting job to anyone.

This offseason, Pollard and Elliott worked out together with a private running backs coach to get ready for 2021. It’s been a benefit to both.

“It’s like realistic drills,” Pollard said. “So, it might be a cone drill where you have to dodge a barrel that can be like an O-lineman or a linebacker blitzing. You just have to make adjustments and cuts based off of those drills. He does a good job of making them realistic so we can be prepared for a real game situation.”
