Report: Cowboys QB Dak Prescott leaving Adidas, signing 5-year deal with Jordan Brand

Dallas Mavericks guard Luka Doncic and Dallas Wings forward Satou Sabally are each a part of the Jordan Brand family.

It appears another star Dallas athlete is joining the Jordan Brand family.

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is leaving Adidas to sign a five-year agreement with Jordan Brand, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Wednesday night. The deal makes Prescott the only NFL quarterback under the Jordan Brand umbrella, as well as the highest-paid league player on the roster.

Prescott will join Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic and Dallas Wings forward Satou Sabally, who each inked deals with Jordan Brand in the last two years.

Prescott is only eight months removed from an ankle that not only suffered a compound fracture, but a dislocation. Before the injury, he appeared to be on pace for a career season. In the five games he played last season, Prescott threw for 1,856 yards.

The deal with Jordan adds to what has been a profitable offseason for Prescott. In March, Prescott agreed to a four-year, $160 million deal with the Dallas Cowboys, giving him the second-highest average salary ($40 million) in the NFL behind Kansas City quarterback Patrick Mahomes ($45 million).

Just last month, Prescott cracked the top five on Forbes’ list of the highest-paid athletes.

“The outlook is bright for the quarterback of the world’s most valuable sports team, whose endorsement portfolio already includes Sleep Number, 7/11 and DirecTV,” Forbes’ Brett Knight writes. “Prescott also recently announced an investment in four Texas locations of the restaurant chain Walk-On’s.”
