Watch: Trevon Diggs’ son, Aaiden, interviews NHL stars ahead of Stanley Cup Final

The son of the Dallas Cowboys star was featured as a guest interviewer ahead of this year’s Stanley Cup Final between the Edmonton Oilers and Florida Panthers.

If he doesn’t follow the family football business, Aaiden Diggs might have a future in journalism.

The son of Dallas Cowboys star Trevon Diggs was featured as a guest interviewer ahead of this year’s Stanley Cup Final between the Edmonton Oilers and Florida Panthers. A series of videos posted to the NHL’s X/Twitter account shows Aaiden meeting Florida players like Matthew Tkachuk, Vladimir Tarasenko and Carter Verhaeghe. He also spoke with Edmonton’s Zach Hyman.

Aaiden was pretty creative with his interview questions. He asked about a variety of topics like player speed, who smiles the most after a win and how each teammate handles nerves. One of the most popular questions centered around the number of fights Tkachuk has won on the ice.

Tkachuk told the younger Diggs he had been in “a lot” of fights but hadn’t won a lot.

Another standout moment from the interview with the Florida crew came from an interaction with Tarasenko. After asking Tarasenko what his go-to trash talk line looked like, Aaiden offered one of his favorites.

“Mine would be, ‘Your mama is so dumb, she tried to climb Mountain Dew,’” Aaiden said.

That response drew some laughs from Tarasenko.

It shouldn’t be too surprising to see the crossover from Aaiden into another set of sports. Throughout the offseason, Trevon has taken in some of the Dallas-area playoff action from the Mavericks and Stars.
