Dallas Cowboys training camp central: Latest news, preseason schedule and more

The Dallas Cowboys are once again ready to set up shop in Southern California.

Coming off another 12-win campaign and an early playoff exit, the Cowboys face a number of questions as they return to Oxnard. Will Dak Prescott or CeeDee Lamb receive contract extensions soon? What will Mike Zimmer bring to the table in his first year as defensive coordinator?

They’ll try to find answers before the regular season kicks off in a few short weeks. Here’s everything fans need to know heading into camp, including top storylines, position battles, contract news and more:

Cowboys training camp schedule

The Cowboys depart for camp Tuesday, then host their first open-to-the-public workout Thursday, July 25. Workouts will be open to the public until August 21. The team will host its camp opening ceremony Saturday, July 27, where owner/general manager Jerry Jones will make a few remarks. (Find the full camp schedule here.)

Fans will be able to attend the practices free of charge, with public entry opening two hours prior to practice.

Dallas will host a scrimmage against the Los Angeles Rams on August 8 ahead of its first preseason matchup with the Rams three days later at SoFi Stadium. Afterwards, the teams will host a joint practice on August 14.

After its last Oxnard practice on August 21, the team will close out camp at Ford Center at The Star in Frisco.
