Watch: Cowboys’ Dak Prescott steps into acting role in new ad for ‘Venom: The Last Dance’

The Cowboys QB breaks out his once-viral ‘Dak dance’ and his well-known cadence in the 51-second commercial.

Is Dak Prescott now part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe? Not quite.

Fans of Marvel comics and the NFL received quite a surprise Tuesday evening when a new ad for Venom: The Last Dance dropped on X/Twitter. The 51-second commercial sees actor Tom Hardy (portraying the movie’s main character, Eddie Brock with symbiote Venom attached) walking in a desert setting with Prescott.

The Cowboys quarterback brings up the fact that they are nowhere near an NFL stadium, meaning he’s in danger of missing pregame warmups. Prescott then broke out his once-viral hip and shoulder warmup, otherwise known as the “Dak dance.”

Prescott makes a few more jokes throughout the commercial, including a reference to his newly signed contract extension while being taken on a horse-led joyride. The ad ends with Prescott screaming out his well-known “here we go” cadence.

This isn’t the first time the Cowboys signal caller has stepped into an acting role for an ad.

In 2023, he partnered with actor Ryan Reynolds’ Maximum Effort and the Colorectal Cancer Alliance in a commercial for Lead From Behind to encourage fans to get screened for colon cancer. Before that, Prescott and CeeDee Lamb took on stars from The Real Housewives in a spot for DIRECTV.
