Cowboys D-line takes another hit as Marshawn Kneeland goes down with injury vs. Steelers

Kneeland suffered an apparent knee injury early in the first quarter and will not return to the game.

The Cowboys entered Sunday night’s game against the Steelers already thin on their defensive line.

Four snaps into the matchup in Pittsburgh, they got even thinner.

Dallas defensive end Marshawn Kneeland went down very early into the first quarter of Sunday night’s game with what appeared to be an injury to his right knee.

Kneeland was unable to put much weight on the leg as he exited the field and immediately entered the Cowboys medical tent. Within minutes, he was being carted off the field and into the locker room. He will not return to the game.

Dallas was already without defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence on Sunday, who suffered a foot injury in Week 4′s win over the Giants. They’re also without Micah Parsons, who suffered a high-ankle sprain in the same victory.

The Cowboys will be looking for depth defensive ends Tyrus Wheat, Chauncey Golston and Carl Lawson to fill in the gaps.
