Here’s what WR CeeDee Lamb said to Cowboys QB Dak Prescott after ‘gift’ interception

The teammates were shown having a sideline discussion after a key moment in the first half Sunday night.

PITTSBURGH — So what was wide receiver CeeDee Lamb saying to quarterback Dak Prescott late in the first half after an interception in Sunday’s game against the Steelers?

The two Cowboys teammates were seen on the sideline talking — well, Lamb was doing most of it — and lip readers determined he was saying “jump ball, jump ball, jump ball” to Prescott.

Late in the first half, Prescott was picked off by Steelers cornerback Donte Jackson in the end zone. Prescott’s pass was short of where Lamb was positioned behind Jackson.

Lamb was asked if he told Prescott “jump ball” and he said, “yeah, pretty much. The DB made a great play. We were on two different pages. I mean he got a gift.”

It seemed with Lamb having a height advantage (6-2 to 5-10 over Jackson) he was anticipating a ball where he could outjump the defender.

Lamb finished with five catches for 62 yards on nine targets in the Cowboys’ win over the Steelers.

“I’m going through my reads, it’s as simple as that,” Prescott said of his chemistry with Lamb. “Whether it’s the beginning of the game, later in the game, whatever it is. I’m going through my reads, trusting my process and credit to the defenses that were playing and it goes into what me and CeeDee have been able to do, especially if you get into a game and start off hot. Whether they changing the game plan or something a little quicker that they’re trying to attack with me and CeeDee.”
