British Open updates: Scottie Scheffler comes up short in final round at Royal Troon

Scheffler, the world’s No. 1 player, was unable to add another major trophy to his resume.

After three rounds of the British Open, Scottie Scheffler was still lurking near the top of the leaderboard.

Scheffler, the tournament favorite, shot an even 71 on Saturday, and was out on the course at Royal Troon with a shot at another major championship. A double-bogey on the ninth hole, however, put a real damper on his hopes to keep pace with the leaders.

Below we’ll be keeping track of Scheffler and all of the other players from North Texas as they compete in the British Open.
