Warriors’ Draymond Green fined for obscene language toward a fan during game vs. Mavericks

Green was fined $25,000 after cursing at a fan in the fourth quarter of the Warriors loss.

Warriors center Draymond Green has been fined $25,000 for directing obscene language toward a fan during Golden State’s 116-113 loss to the Mavericks on Tuesday at American Airlines Center, the NBA announced on Thursday.

The incident came with with 11:20 remaining in the fourth quarter as Mavs guard Spencer Dinwiddie prepared to shoot a free throw. Green had 12 points, six rebounds and four assists in the loss.

It’s not the first time that Green has had problems with fans. During the Warriors playoff series vs. the Grizzlies in May, fans cheered after he went to go get an injury taken care of which led to him flipping them off as he walked off the court.

After the game, Green said that “It felt good to flip them off...I’m assuming the cheers were because they I knew I’d get fined. Great, I make $25M a year.”
