Jaden Hardy, Dereck Lively II headline Dallas Mavericks’ 2023 summer league roster

Fellow first-round pick Olivier-Maxence Prosper will also be one of nine rookies on the squad.

The Dallas Mavericks announced their 2023 NBA Summer League 2023 roster on Thursday, headlined by the team’s pair of first-round draft picks and last season’s rookie standout Jaden Hardy.

Dallas will tip off the competition against the Oklahoma City Thunder at 2:30 p.m. July 8 on ESPN2.

Following the opener against the Thunder, Dallas will face Philadelphia (July 10), Golden State (July 12) and Indiana (July 14) before the date, time and opponent of the fifth game will be determined.

The NBA’s annual offseason tournament for rookies, young players and developmental prospects will run July 7-17 in Las Vegas with all games at UNLV’s basketball complex — either in the Thomas & Mack Center arena or the Cox Pavilion gym.

Hardy, the 37th overall pick of the 2022 draft, tallied 20-or-more points in each of his first three career starts last season, becoming the first Maverick to ever accomplish the feat. Dallas’ two-way players from the 2022-23 season, AJ Lawson and McKinley Wright IV, are also on the squad, along with first-round selections Dereck Lively II (No. 12 overall) and Olivier-Maxence Prosper (No. 24 overall).

Mavericks assistant coach Jared Dudley will serve as the head coach.
