Paul George sank two 3-pointers in the final minute to narrow the chasm Dallas opened in the third quarter, but a Mason Plumlee foul on Josh Green, who hit a 3-point shot and converted the free throw for a four-point play. The Mavericks doubled their halftime lead to go up by 20 heading into the fourth quarter.

Maxi Kleber hits a fifth trey after the Mavs capped a 14-0 run with an incredible sequence that ended in a Derrick Jones Jr. dunk and had Doncic and Kyrie Irving smiling as they went to the bench for a TV timeout.

The lead changes continued through the second quarter, with the Mavs surging ahead with help from four 3-pointers by Kleber.

Doncic had 15 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists, and Daniel Gafford had 8 points and 2 rebounds.
