The Dallas Mavericks have demonstrated a lot of belief in the young members of their roster. With a new contract extension for Jaden Hardy that commitment only grows stronger.
The Mavericks and the 22-year-old guard have agreed to a three-year, $18 million rookie contract extension, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.
Hardy averaged 7.9 points per game in his first two seasons in Dallas after getting drafted in the second round in 2022. He came from G-League Ignite, where he averaged 17.7 points per game, 3.2 assists and 4.6 rebounds.
Hardy has shown growth this preseason and could be in line for a bigger role when the Mavericks’ regular season begins against the Spurs Thursday.
