The Dallas Mavericks, the defending Western Conference champions, begin the 2024-25 NBA season Oct. 24 against Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs at American Airlines Center.
After the team declined to renew its contract with Bally Sports Southwest, it negotiated with TEGNA to broadcast 70 of its games on Channel 29, rebranded as KFAA.
At least 15 of the 70 will simulcast on WFAA (Channel 8), and so far, seven have been announced: Oct. 31, Nov. 19, Dec. 3, Dec. 19, Jan. 23, Jan. 27 and Jan. 29. The Mavericks also announced the launch of a subscription streaming service, MavsTV, that will air all of the games.
Dallas is scheduled to play on national television 30 times, including nine on TNT, nine on ESPN, seven on NBA TV and five on ABC, and possibly more from Dec. 10-17 depending on the Mavericks’ status in the NBA Cup.
