According to the Dallas Mavericks’ Tuesday night injury report, P.J. Washington will miss Wednesday’s game against the Bulls with a right knee sprain.
Dereck Lively II was initially listed as questionable with a right shoulder sprain. On Wednesday, he was downgraded to doubtful. He was a late scratch from Monday’s loss to the Pacers and Jason Kidd said the second-year center would get an MRI on Tuesday to further diagnose the issue.
Maxi Kleber remains out with a right hamstring strain, as he will be sidelined for his sixth consecutive game.

Without Washington and Lively in the lineup, the Mavericks will be very short-handed on the defensive end of the court. Players like Naji Marshall will likely be called upon to fill in for Washington, who is Dallas’ primary defensive stalwart.
