Report: Lincoln Riley, Sooners agree to new contract that keeps him in Oklahoma through 2025

The deal was reportedly finalized back in February after Riley turned down offers to talk to NFL teams.

Lincoln Riley will likely be sticking around Oklahoma for a while.

Riley and Oklahoma reportedly finalized a new, six-year contract — including a two-year extension — back in February and it was approved by the university’s Board of Regents on Thursday, according to a report from The Athletic Tuesday.

Riley agreed to a pay reduction in early July, so there will be no raise for 2020. Even so, he will be the highest-paid coach in the Big 12 and among the top six highest-paid in college football.
