Oklahoma QB Nick Evers announces entrance into transfer portal

A Flower Mound product, Evers was not able to get much playing time in 2022 with Dillon Gabriel on the roster.

Oklahoma quarterback Nick Evers announced on Saturday that he will be entering the transfer portal with three years of eligibility remaining.

The Flower Mound product was a four-star recruit out of high school and initially committed to Florida before flipping for the Sooners. However, he has been stuck behind Dillon Gabriel on the depth chart for the 2022 season. His only action was one pass during a 49-0 loss to Texas.

With Denton Guyer’s five-star quarterback Jackson Arnold on his way to Norman, snaps were going to be even harder to come by for Evers.
