OU, Oklahoma State basketball announce December non-conference matchup at Paycom Center

The schools competed for decades as members of the Big 12 before the Sooners left for the SEC in July.

Bedlam is back — at least on the basketball court.

Oklahoma and Oklahoma State, former Big 12 rivals, announced Wednesday their men’s basketball teams will face off on Saturday, Dec. 14 at Paycom Center, home of the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The schools competed for decades as members of the Big 12, but the Sooners left for the SEC in July.

“Our storied rivalry now enters a new chapter and we — along with all of Sooner Nation — are ready to begin,” Oklahoma athletic director Joe Castiglione said in a statement.
