The stadium will host a heavyweight bout between YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul and former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson on July 20.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has made AT&T Stadium in Arlington a home for some of boxing’s biggest fights.

On Thursday, it was announced the stadium would host a heavyweight bout between YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul and former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson on July 20.

Canelo Álvarez earned a eight-round TKO victory over Billy Joe Saunders on May 8, 2021 in front of 73,126 fans. It was the largest crowd for an indoor boxing event in U.S. history. That surpassed the previous record of 63,350 set by Muhammad Ali and Leon Spinks in New Orleans in 1978.

Sept. 17, 2016: Álvarez vs. Liam Smith (51,420)

Álvarez has been the big draw at AT&T Stadium, taking the top two spots on the list. He defeated Liam Smith by knockout in round nine before a crowd of 51,420 fans. It broke the then-stadium record for boxing attendance.

March 13, 2010: Manny Pacquiao vs. Joshua Clottey (50,994)

Manny Pacquiao defeated Joshua Clottey via unanimous decision in the first-ever fight at AT&T Stadium in front of 50,994 fans. While the fight wasn’t considered to be entertaining, it proved that AT&T Stadium could be a suitable host for major events going forward.

March 16, 2019: Errol Spence Jr. vs. Mikey Garcia (47,525)

Errol Spence Jr., a DeSoto native, defeated Mikey Garcia in front of a home crowd of 47,525 fans. Spence won by unanimous decision to defend his IBF welterweight belt.

Nov. 13, 2010: Pacquiao vs. Antonio Margarito (41,734)

Eight months after competing in the first fight at AT&T Stadium, Pacquiao returned to the venue to face Antonio Margarito. Pacquiao pummeled Margarito for a unanimous victory to capture the WBC’s 154-pound world championship. Ahead of the fight, promoter Bob Arum predicted a crowd of 60,000. Instead, it fell 9,260 fans short of Pacquiao’s first fight in Arlington.

April 15, 2022: Spence vs. Yordenis Ugas (39,946)

In his third fight at AT&T Stadium, Spence defeated Yordenis Ugas by technical knockout to defend his WBC and IBF welterweight title belts in front of a crowd of 39,946 largely pro-Spence fans in attendance.

Dec. 5, 2020: Spence vs. Danny Garcia (16,102)

After suffering serious injuries in a Dallas car crash in October 2019, Spence returned to the ring for the first time over a year later. Spence was dominant in his return to the ring, defeating Danny Garcia via unanimous decision in 12 rounds. With it being the first fight held at AT&T Stadium during the COVID-19 pandemic, only 16,102 fans were in attendance.
