Rangers announce 2021 spring training schedule, including 2 games at Globe Life Field

Texas will play 30 games over a month in the Cactus League, before coming back to Arlington.

Editor’s note: This story has been updated since it was originally published (Sep. 16,2020) to include start times for the Rangers’ spring training games.

The 2021 MLB season is set to start on time, with MLB on Wednesday announcing spring training schedules across the league. The Rangers will start playing games on Feb. 27, and will finish up and leave Surprise, Ariz., a month later on March 27.

The final two spring training games will be played at Globe Life Field on March 29 and 30, with the opponents still to be announced. Opening day is scheduled for April 1 in Kansas City.

Spring training in 2020 was cut short midway through, as sports across the world were shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Rangers restarted summer training prior to this season at their home ballpark in Arlington.
