Rougned Odor has a new look. And no, we’re not just talking about his new Yankees jersey.

A few days after the Rangers traded Odor to New York, photos have surfaced of the new Yankee without his trademark beard.

That’s right, Beardless Rougie has arrived in New York.

And not only that, Beardless Rougie was officially activated by the Yankees on Saturday and will serve as a backup infielder.

Whenever Odor does make his Yankees debut, it will be the first time in his seven-year career that he will play for a MLB club other than the Rangers. And for that matter, the first without the same beard he donned in 858 career games with Texas. He had the beard all the way through spring training with the Rangers this year before he was traded.

For his career, Odor had a .237 batting average, 146 home runs and 458 RBIs. Of course, Odor’s most memorable moment with the Rangers came in 2016 when he punched Jose Bautista after a dustup at second base. Since then, his career with the Rangers went into a steady decline.

His batting average decreased in each of the last two seasons and Odor hit .167 in 2020. Odor then failed to make the opening day roster this season and was traded shortly after.

With a new team and a new look, it appears Odor is getting a fresh start in New York.
