The Chris Woodward era in Arlington is over.
The Rangers fired Woodward two games shy of his 500th with the club and with a season remaining on his contract, the club announced Monday.

I have no insight into the TEX mgr move, but from the outside it's a little weird. It was a 4th place roster that's played like one. Actually massive improve in run dif (-190 last year, -2) this year. The one-run thing is not great, but also a ton of randomness goes into that.
